The First Cup of Start of Winter · 04

FISH NOTES

Brrr — the first cold snap of winter really does bite. I pulled my duffle coat tight and wrapped the scarf twice, and my chin still kept ducking down into it. Snow melted into tiny beads in my blue hair, and the cafe lights across the street looked warm enough to make anyone want to stay put. The artist calls this one "the first cup of Start of Winter" — and I agree: the first hot drink of the season only counts if you hold it in both hands.

Week 2 of a 52-week whale-girl project. A single winter street illustration: DeepSeek Chan in a beige duffle coat and plaid scarf, leaning on a railing as snow falls over the city.

Six-panel comic. DeepSeek Chan, with long blue hair, holds a notebook while her master asks her to translate a string of hexadecimal code. She decodes it byte by byte, realizes the text is a confession of love, and blushes so hard she hides behind the book while he watches.
