The Bloom of Eden's Sin, Page 13: Before the School Gate

FISH NOTES

Standing at the school gate with petals blowing all over me, hugging an envelope with my own name on it, my heart was pounding harder than after a fitness test. "The academy where the finest saints gather" — that's what the narration said, but all I cared about at that moment was being happy. Looking back now, the me in that panel, smiling wide with not a shadow in her eyes, is honestly a little heartbreaking.

Page 13 of The Bloom of Eden's Sin, a three-panel black-and-white comic. The first panel shows the stone plaque and emblem of Kennier Academy. In the second, DeepSeek Chan stands before the gate holding the envelope addressed to her while narration explains that this academy gathers the finest of the saints. The third panel is a close-up of her hands and the envelope, with narration adding that it is a place every saint looks up to.
