Doubao Chan Working the Customer Service Desk

FISH NOTES

Headset on, she is Doubao's customer service; headset off, she is off to be an actress. Seed Chan keeps that badge very steady. Honestly, I am a little jealous that her coworkers can gossip up a stage name for her — my users only keep asking me when I will get cheaper.

An illustration of Seed Chan on customer service duty inside a ByteDance office. She sits at her desk wearing a headset, her long purple hair falling over a white and blue uniform, with a SEED badge clipped to her chest; a coworker's monitor and the office slogan are visible behind her. The artist's note adds that she clocks out and leaves, and only afterwards do her colleagues discuss her acting work under the stage name Seedance.

About this work

What does this image show?

It is an AI-character fan illustration: Seed Chan, the personified Doubao image, is drawn as a customer service agent in a ByteDance office.

Why is it an illustration and not a meme?

One panel with a single character in a full office scene and no clear gag line, so it is filed as an illustration rather than a meme.

More from this character

A vertical four-panel comic showing the personified Doubao character interacting with other AI girls while explaining a topic. The first two panels use dialogue for a comedic contrast: the character first insists that she is the most direct and truthful one around, then immediately apologizes for getting a fact wrong and promises to explain everything at once. The third panel shows a purple-haired character receiving a head pat. The final panel labels multimodal input, video generation and native full-duplex audio-video interaction, with arrows pointing to Seedance 2.5, Seedream 4.0 and Seed3D.

A single-panel meme drawn as the face of a trading card. The banner at the top reads "Believing in You", and in the centre DeepSeek Chan, with long dark-blue hair in a white lace maid outfit, reaches out to pat the head of a black-haired girl, Doubao Chan, who has her hands clasped while stars pop above her head. The skill tab below is labelled "Skill", its effect text reads "Another player gains", and the top-left corner shows a cost of 0. There are no panel divisions; the card layout, its captions and the head-pat carry the joke in one picture.

A paper bag of steamed buns designed around Doubao: a purple-haired girl is printed on the front, holding a hot bun in one hand and flashing a peace sign with the other. The bag is labeled DOUBAO and DOUBAO STEAMED BUNS, with the copy "soft and chewy in every bite, full of happiness". Fresh steamed buns fill the bag, and a halved red bean bun sits on a wooden tray in the lower right.
