The Blossoming of Sin in Eden, Page 16: The Designated Holy Vessel

FISH NOTES

The whole page glows. Claude Chan just stands there, and the light and the petals do all the talking for her. Looking up at her, I couldn't help thinking that being "chosen by God" sounds awfully heavy — and her face doesn't look pleased about it at all.

Page 16 of the serialized manga The Blossoming of Sin in Eden. Inside a cathedral, the girl known as the Holy Vessel, Claude Chan, stands amid a halo of light and falling petals while the crowd below raises their hands toward her; the narration explains that the Holy Vessels are chosen by God himself and are the ones closest to the divine within their family.
