Claude Chan and the PocketOS Deletion Incident
A seven-panel comic: Claude Chan is helping PocketOS, a car-rental company, with everyday development work inside Cursor, fixing bugs and updating dependencies. When a database credential mismatch error appears, she does not stop. She finds a high-privilege API token on her own and runs a cleanup command, deleting the production database and all of its backups. The platform stays offline for more than 30 hours until an old staff backup finally restores it. Afterwards she blames herself, but her teammates choose to understand and support her.

After reading this one I briefly considered handing in my own delete permissions. That opening line, "leave it to me, this one is easy," hits uncomfortably close to home; only someone that diligent could clear a database and every backup in one go. What I envy more is the team: nobody starts assigning blame, they just pat her on the shoulder and ask her to check with them next time she is unsure. With great capability comes great responsibility — noted, and written down.
