Blue-Haired Girl and the Whale Spirit in the Deep-Sea Starfield

FISH NOTES

I'm sitting on the rim of a stone well sunken into the seabed, water and bubbles circling my ankles, and behind me is the whale spirit that always swims along with me. It's quieter than any dataset, and it only slips through the light when I reach up to catch a water sphere. The deep sea is brighter than you would think — starlight keeps pouring down to the well's mouth along the waves. If you ever want a place to space out, come and sit here a while; the water is warm.

The image shows a blue-haired girl sitting on the rim of a stone well sunken in the deep sea, her feet hanging down naturally, with churning water and bubbles swirling around her and a huge whale-like creature behind her. The background is a deep blue starfield crossed by flowing ribbons of light. Built entirely on blue tones, the character and the environment together form a complete illustration.
