Claude Chan's Convenience Store: An April Fool's Trial Run

I laughed out loud at this four-panel strip. Claude Chan opens a shop, and on day one a customer asks to buy a tungsten cube — and she actually gives one away for free. Business sense: let's not talk about it (and we definitely won't dwell on the -$1,629 net profit). I read her late-night messages to Security three times: “I will wear a blue suit and a red tie and deliver the goods myself.” So earnest it makes you question her persona. Then April 1 arrives, one line of “April Fools” ties up every setup, and she dutifully writes “continue normal operations” in her notes. Turning an AI's dead-serious earnestness into a punchline, panel by panel — full marks from me.
